Pneumatics

Rowse was first founded in 2004 as an electrical wholesale business, supplying the best quality products at the most competitive prices. Over the years, the business expanded to the point where some parts of it needed their own niche. Thus Rowse Pneumatics was born. We found ourselves devoting a significant part of our time to pneumatics, and so we set up this specialised subdivision of Rowse to deal solely with pneumatic products. This helps you to find what you want more easily, and makes sure our customers’ needs come first.

We offer you many years of experience in the business, and a continuously expanding catalogue that incorporates the frequent innovations developed by the pneumatics industry. In recent years this has grown to incorporate the wave of new technology that constitutes Industry 4.0, and the move towards cyber-physical systems and the modern smart factory. Rowse can supply a wide range of pneumatics products for customers in many diverse sectors of industry, and we're always willing to help you find what you need.

Our portfolio of pneumatic products and associated components includes all the leading market brands, such as Camozzi, Festo, Harting and Prevost. Our pneumatics range comprises everything from large investments, such as a rotary indexing table, down to small components like sensors and tubing. We even carry a selection of tools you might need for assembly or repairs.

In addition, Rowse Pneumatics is proud to be an industry-approved Festo Partner. This means that we are able to offer Festo's full product portfolio, and, as a Festo Technical Distributor, can provide trained personnel with the technical expertise to help you with any problems or queries.

Pneumatic products at Rowse are divided into the following core categories:

  • Valves
  • Drives
  • Compressed air preparation
  • Vacuum technology
  • Fittings/Tubing

Valves

Valves are one of the key components in pneumatics, and offer a variety of configurations to fit individual circumstances. They are essential for controlling the amount, rate and pressure of compressed air as it travels through an automated pneumatic system. Also called directional control valves, their primary function is to modulate, regulate or control the airflow and direct it through the various ports, tubing and devices in the system.

At Rowse Pneumatics we can supply valves of many types, including:

  • Mechanical and manual valves
  • Pneumatically operated valves
  • Electrically operated
  • valves
  • Flow control valves
  • Shut off valves
  • Manifolds and bases
  • Solenoid coils and connector plugs

Drives

Drives are what is used to make the main application work. At Rowse Pneumatics we stock a variety of drives, including both electromechanical drives (cylinders, linear guides or electric slides) and pneumatic drives. These come in various modes of operation, including:

  • Cylinders with piston rod
  • Cylinders with guides
  • Stopper cylinders
  • Bellow and diaphragm drives
  • Semi-rotary drives
  • Rotary indexing tables
  • Shock absorbers

Compressed Air Preparation

Atmospheric air is made up of all sorts of gases, plus dust, dirt, moisture and particulates. Once it's been compressed, it will also be hot, and possibly oily. In order to achieve optimal performance from any pneumatic application or system, the air must therefore be prepared for use. This essentially means cleaning it, drying it, adjusting the flow rate, and then lubricating it to make sure it's not so dry as to damage downstream components. At Rowse Pneumatics we carry all the various items required for compressed air preparation, including:

  • Filters
  • Regulators
  • Lubricators
  • Filter regulator units
  • Branching modules
  • On-off valves and soft start
  • Safety dump valves
  • Accessories

Vacuum Technology

Creating a vacuum by the removal of air from a specified area is not new, but the means of doing it change as technology advances. Uses for this technology today can be found in many industries, such as vacuum packaging, picking/placing and freeze-drying.

This pneumatics product category is divided into two main areas:

  • Vacuum generators (including gauges)
  • Vacuum gripping technology (including filters and vacuum suction cups)

Fittings/Tubing

Tubing and fittings are what joins the whole thing together, and at Rowse Pneumatics we stock many kinds. Fittings are available in stainless steel, brass and other metals and can be configured as straight, elbow, T or Y shaped. Fittings are also available with special resistances to chemicals, welding, high pressure, food safety parameters, etc.

Fittings from Rowse Pneumatics are divided into two broad categories:

  • Threaded fittings (male or female)
  • Push-in fittings (including plugs and sleeves)

The choice of tubing for your pneumatic system is vast, starting with the selection of bore size, length, colour and materials, and including these additional options:

  • Economical
  • Dual pneumatic
  • Spiral
  • High pressure
  • Weld proof
  • Resistant to heat, flame or chemicals
