Festo DMML cylinders are a multi-mount cylinder with a non-rotating piston rod; a multi-mount cylinder has multiple options for mounting the cylinder compared to a standard cylinder that requires additional accessories. DMML multi-mount cylinders can be found in a wide variety of industries from the food and beverage sector to car production plants. DMML cylinders benefit from all the technical advantages you would expect when purchasing a Festo cylinder long service life and optimum performance.

  • Piston Diameters: 10mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm and 32mm
  • Stroke lengths: 1…50mm
  • Force: 37…483N

Festo DMML cylinders are available with some different piston diameters dependant upon the needs of the application; piston diameters from 10mm to 32mm are available with stroke lengths from 1mm to 50mm.

The DMML is a double acting multi-mount cylinder, whereas the EMML multi-mount is a single acting cylinder. A double acting cylinder requires air for movement in both directions whereas a single acting cylinder relies on a mechanical spring for the return stroke. Festo also has a rotating piston rod version of the DMML cylinder known as the DMM. Dependant upon the application the DMML cylinder can be selected with different forces by changing the diameter of the piston rod, forces between 37N to 483N are all available making them ideal for any task.

What Options Are Available For The DMML Cylinder?

Being a multi-mount cylinder the DMML comes complete with various mounting holes for installation allowing the cylinder to be mounted from the front and rear and also both vertical and horizontal. The DMML cylinder has mechanical cushioning ideally suited to the small loads and low speeds expected of a multi-mount cylinder. The P in the part number indicates the mechanical cushioning.

  • Cushioning: Fixed (P)
  • Multi-mount
  • Position Sensing
  • A wide range of accessories

Festo DMML cylinders can also be configured to have a through piston rod (S2 code), heat resistant (S6 code) and with a hollow piston rod (S20 code) in addition to the different bores and strokes. Cylinder position sensors can also be installed as standard on DMML.

DMML multi-mount cylinders also benefit from having a vast selection of piston rod attachments; rod eyes, rod clevis, self-aligning rod couplers for hollow piston rods adapters are available for mounting vacuum products.

The DMML multi-mount cylinders we have listed on our site covers the most common configurations purchased from Festo, due to the number of different combinations of variants, the part number of your DMML cylinder may not be listed. If your cylinder is not listed, please contact the sales team who will be pleased to offer assistance.
