Festo DMM cylinders are a multi-mount cylinder; this means that the cylinder has multiple options for mounting the cylinder. Festo multi-mount cylinders are used in many different areas of industry from machine automation to conveyor systems. As with all Festo cylinders the DMM range have an exceptional service life and best in class running characteristics.

  • Stroke lengths: 1…50mm

Festo DMM cylinder is available with piston diameters from 10mm to 32mm and stroke lengths from 1mm to 50mm. The DMM is a double acting multi-mount cylinder requiring air for movements in both directions, a single acting version the EMM is also available, along with non-rotating piston rod versions the DMML and EMML. The different piston diameters change the amount of theoretical force produced from the cylinder forces between 37N to 483N are all available making them ideal for any task.

What Variants Are Available For The DMM Cylinder?

DMM multi-mount cylinders have various mounting options available for installation; the cylinders are fitted with some different mounting holes allowing the cylinder to be mounted from the front, the rear and both vertical and horizontal mounting. The DMM cylinder comes with mechanical cushioning making them ideal for small loads and low-speed applications. Festo gives mechanical cushioning the prefix P in the type code.

In addition to the selection of both bore diameter and stroke length the DMM cylinder can also be supplied with a through piston rod (S2 code), heat resistant (S6 code) and with a hollow piston rod (S20 code). Cylinder position sensors can also be used on the DMM thanks to the integrated magnet contained with the piston.

The DMM multi-mount cylinder is also compatible with Festo’s range of piston rod accessories; rod eyes, rod clevis, self-aligning rod couplers for hollow piston rods adapters are available for mounting vacuum products.
