Festo ADN cylinders are a compact cylinder with dimensions according to ISO 21287; this means that the ADN cylinder is interchangeable with other manufacturers cylinders conforming to this standard. Festo ADN cylinders are a compact design and have a wide selection of different variants for most applications. ADN cylinders can be configured to meet the individual needs of the application thanks to their modular system.
Festo ADN compact cylinders are used in a variety of applications throughout many industries. Festo ADN cylinders benefit from best in class performance and extremely long service life. The design of an ADN allows high forces from a small compact cylinder.
- Piston Diameters: 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 80mm, 100mm and 125mm
- Stroke lengths: 1…500mm
- Force: 51…7363N
- Small Compact Cylinder
The Festo ADN cylinder is a double acting cylinder with piston diameters of 12mm to 100mm and variable stroke lengths from 5mm to 80mm. Different piston diameter selections allow users to have varying forces between 51…7363N combined with the wide selection of stroke lengths makes the ADN the ideal compact cylinder.
What Options Are Available On An ADN Cylinder?
ADN cylinders come complete with integrated cushioning for absorbing the impact energy at the end of the stroke. ADN cylinders are available with mechanical cushioning identified as P in the part code or self-adjusting pneumatic cushioning known as PPS. Cylinders with mechanical cushioning are ideal for applications with small loads and low speeds, whereas self-adjusting cushioning is suitable for large loads and high speeds with no adjustment required ensuring optimum cushioning even with varying loads and speeds. The exceptional cushioning characteristics and minimal friction ensure that the ADN cylinders have a long service life.
- Cushioning: Fixed (P), Self-adjusting (PPS)
- Double Acting
- Position Sensing
- A wide range of accessories
The ADN piston rod is available with either a male external thread or internal female thread. Contactless position sensing is possible with the integrated magnet with mounting slots for cylinder sensors on three sides of the cylinder body. To complement the range of Festo ADN cylinders a full range of mounting accessories and piston accessories are available including piston rod ends, mounting accessories as well as pneumatic fittings and flow control valves.
